Desirability profile
Why the card is desirable — collectibility vs competitive use. This is a rating, not a price: the fair value above is set only by real comps.
The thesis — why it may be mispriced
The OP07-038 alt-art Leader — the full-art Boa Hancock (seated with Salome and the Kuja sisters) from 500 Years in the Future. The OP07 chase Leader, not the ~$1 base: it clears ~$120 raw and ~$275 PSA 10, on a deep, liquid graded market. Our bet is a scarce, in-demand Boa alt-art re-rates higher (target ~3×).
- Not the $1 base: OP07-038 is one number over many cards. This is the full-art alt-art Leader — a different, foil, collectible print from the base Leader everyone gets in decks.
- Boa is a durable demand engine — one of the most-collected female characters in One Piece. Alt-arts of her have historically firmed as new Boa product keeps her top-of-mind.
- Deep, liquid market: 40+ recent PSA 10 sales cluster ~$260–300, raw ~$100–130. This isn't a thin one-comp read — the floor is real.
- The trap serial: OP07-038 also spans a ~$90 parallel, a PSA-Magazine promo (~$550–800 PSA 10), a gold-font Anime-25th parallel (~$1,300–3,700 raw), a gold Leader ($2,450–6,200 graded) and the rare EB02 Anime-25th special (PSA 10 up to ~$12,000). Match the exact print before pricing.
- Falsifiable: the re-rate thesis holds only while (1) Boa demand keeps rising, (2) the alt-art doesn't get reprinted, and (3) raw sold clears hold above ~$100. A slide toward the base breaks it.
Biggest risk: This is a booster alt-art, not a fixed-tiny-supply chase — the main risk is that supply is ample enough to cap a 3× move, and a reprint (a common Bandai pattern) would re-rate it down. Boa alt-arts also carry a thin raw-to-PSA-10 premium relative to the grading gamble. And the OP07-038 serial is a minefield: a copy sold as 'alt art' could be the ~$90 parallel, the PSA-Magazine promo, or — at the other extreme — the ~$12,000 Anime-25th special. Model estimate, not financial advice — match the exact art, print and grade.

What would change our mind
Revise higher if
- Sold-velocity rises / liquidity deepens for this exact variant
- PSA population stays flat (scarcity holds)
Revise lower if
- A reprint or a new serialized run is announced
- PSA population grows materially (scarcity erodes)
The ledger — permanent & accountable

Factor breakdown
A weighted summary (weights shown) — the collector and competitive axes are scored separately, so competitive factors never drag the collector headline.
