OP-18 'The Dominance of God': is the booster box worth $363?
- Release (English)
- November 20, 2026
- MSRP
- $4.99 per pack
- Preorder box, sold on TCGplayer
- $362.92–364.61 (Sep 30–Oct 2)
- OP-17 box today, sold
- $293.99–296.89
- Our First Read
- box settles ~$280–330 by late Jan
Verdict — OP-18 preorder boxes already sell for about $363, more than OP-17 boxes sell for today. Past sets show what happens next: the preorder premium shrinks once boxes are opened. We expect OP-18 to settle near OP-17's level, with the real value in a handful of Manga and alternate-art cards.
The short answer: OP-18 "The Dominance of God" releases in English on November 20, 2026 at $4.99 a pack. Preorder booster boxes are already selling for about $363 on TCGplayer, which is about $70 more than an OP-17 box sells for today and about $140 more than OP-16. Bandai hasn't revealed the card list yet, so nobody knows the chase cards for sure. Our dated read: buy singles after release, not preorder boxes at $363.
This is independent analysis of physical collectibles, not financial advice. OP-18 is unreleased: every OP-18 figure below is either a preorder sale or a dated prediction we'll grade later. Prices are TCGplayer sales in USD, English Near Mint or sealed, read on 2 October 2026.

The chase cards: not confirmed yet
Bandai's card list doesn't include OP-18 yet, so no card number is official. TCGplayer's preorder catalog already lists an OP18-119 Saint Shamrock Secret Rare (one listing at $99.99, not a sale), plus a Manga version of Nico Robin. Treat those as unconfirmed until Bandai publishes the list. We'll add the real chase cards when it does.
What we do know is what the chase tier of the last set sells for, now that it's real:
| OP-17 chase card | TCGplayer sold | Dates |
|---|---|---|
| Shanks (Manga) | $1,500–1,599.99 | Sep 5–11 |
| Luffy (Super Leader Alt Art) | $1,100 (from $1,599.97–1,650 in mid-Sep) | Sep 12–Oct 1 |
| Whitebeard (Manga) | $999–1,050 | Sep 14–29 |
| Kaido (Manga) | $970–985 | late Sep |
| Big Mom (Manga) | $754–819 | Sep 27–30 |
How our OP-17 call did
In July we predicted OP-17's top Manga Rares would settle at $1,100–1,600 raw within 90 days. Shanks landed inside that range. Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom came in below it, at roughly $750–1,050. So we were right about the shape (a launch spike, then a drift down) and too high on three of the four cards. That correction is built into the read below.
Our First Read on OP-18 (dated 2 October 2026)
- The sealed box: preorder boxes at ~$363 are pricing in hype before anyone has opened one. OP-17 boxes now sell for about $295 and OP-16 boxes for about $220. We predict OP-18 boxes settle at about $280–330 by late January 2027, roughly two months after release.
- The chase cards: we expect the top Manga or alternate-art card to open high and settle at roughly $700–1,200 raw, in line with where OP-17's Manga Rares actually landed. A fan-favourite Water Seven character (Robin is the one to watch) would sit at the top of that range.
- What would prove us wrong: if OP-18 boxes still sell above $340 at the end of January, demand beat supply and we were too cautious. If they fall below $250, the set is weaker than its preorder price says.
We'll grade this read against real sales after release and add the result to this page.
Should you preorder?
If you want to open packs, a preorder at a fair price is fine. As an investment, a $363 preorder box is a bet that OP-18 stays hotter than OP-17, and the last two sets say the preorder premium usually fades. If you're after one specific card, wait for the card list and buy the single: you'll know exactly what you're paying for.
Founder position: none in OP-18 sealed or singles at the time of writing.
